I have Comcast Cable and I was wondering if I could use both the ethernet ports on the back of my motherboard. I have an Asus Crosshair with two Gigabit ports and I want to hook up an ethernet cable to both for performance. I have heard this is called LAN Teaming and I would like to know how to do it. I am using Vista Ultimate 64. Please help me out.

It won't really help you since the bottleneck for your internet connection is your cable connection and not the network card but to answer your question: yes.

Note that this is used mainly for load balancing, fault tolerance etc.

Dear god, we seem to have the same reason for desiring teaming 🙁 I'm actually trying to switch from Comcast to a better ISP, however teaming has improved my speed a little since I enabled it for full load balancing not just transmit only. Of course that could just be my perception.

what I wanted to get to work was TCP/IP acceleration on my 590 board. Unfortunately it just gives me a blue screen when I try to enable it.

Im running a setup similarly to yours, and can tell you that nvidia has not released drivers for vista that support teaming atm. You will need to go back to XP to use it.
