Hi there, I'm looking to buy a 17" gaming laptop for my son and we have narrowed the choices down to the HP Omen 17 ,i7 10750 with the 2070 super max p and the PCS Vyper 17 (Eluktronics Max 17) i7 10875 with the 2070 max p.
Pcs Vyper has magnesium alloy chassis, 91wh battery and is extremely light and slim. Comes with 16gb (2x8)2666 ram and 1tb m.2 ssd.
Omen 17 is resin chassis and a bit of a chonk, but it has Gsync. And comes with 16gb (2x8) 2933 ram 512 m.2 ssd and 1 tb 7200rpm HDD.
Both have a 144 MHz 17.3" 1920x1080 panel and a good array of ports including Thunderbolt 3.
I was wondering how the 10875 with the 2070 max p would compare to the 10750 with the 2070 super max p. I understand that the 2070 super is around 9% better performance than the 2070 but how would the extra cores on the 10875 factor in?
With HP's 10% off for black Friday both come in at about my £1500 limit.
Any thoughts?
