Hello so i buy a laptop from ebay without charger now when i check the specification laptop model "ASUS X550JF-MS71 "
https://icecat.biz/en/p/asus/x550jf-ms71/notebooks-x550jf-ms71-28347742.html

Now it really confusing about the charger do I need to buy 120watts or 65 watts

Output :
19 V DC, 3.42 A, 120 W
Input :
110 -240 V AC, 50/60 Hz universal

I already research 19V 3.42 A = 65W
is 120W is the Max Power output?

Solution
120W is the max power output. So it might be a bit overkill for what you really need.

Sometimes the input specs list the board consumption power and not the battery charging power which would be on top of board power.
@digitalgriffin thank you so much for your answer so i ask customer support of asus to confirm

=hey El thanks for holding your device comes with a 120W19V 3PIN charger I am just looking to find it on our store for you.

-thank you so much for your help so this charger is DC output: 19V 6.32A not 3.42A

= Yes

I'm just curios as why this latop use 120watts and yet its no a gaming laptop

Again it all depends on how they rate that input power. Is that board power or board power + charging.

Picking a bigger supply will not work against you. The laptop will only take what it needs.

As a rule of thumb you want to aim for a power supply that is 20% Larger than what your max input should be. This helps ensure stability and a long life. So an 75W->80W supply wouldn't be a bad choice IMHO. But if board power + battery power goes over the limit, your laptop may run in reduced power mode. My wife's HP did this with a substitute generic adapter. (Popped up with a warning as well about the power supply being too small)

New Egg showed a 120 Watt supply also.
