Laptop specs:
Model: Legion 5 15.6' with 165hz
CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 5600H
GPU: GeForce RTX 3060
Not sure other info is needed but please let me know.
Problem is: the CPU always runs at full clock speed (unless not plugged in) and the temps (and the fans) rise a bit too much when idling or just browsing. More specifically in the 60-70C range. The environment temperature is rather high (25-30C) but I don't think it justifies these temps. Things I've tried:
Setting the power plan to balance in AMD Adrenalin and Windows settings, plugging in a cooler pad even when browsing, toying with Lenovo Vantage to set the conservation mode for battery to on
I have searched for this issue quite a bit and it seems to be desired behaviour, I also noticed there is an AMD power plan but not available on mobile models so I'm screwed.. Question is.. Is it sustainable to run at these temps? Possible solutions if not?
