[SOLVED] laptop display turns off sometimes suddenly

i fix computers and i have done many windows installations. hundreds and hundreds... recently, i saw someone using windows 8.1 and told him that he deserves a free upgrade to windows 10 and i formatted the C drive and installed fresh windows 10 from an USB flash drive and the windows was automatically activated with a digital license. i believe all the drivers were installed properly. i used IOBIT Driver Booster. now, after two months of using the laptop, the person is complaining that sometimes his screen turns off suddenly while working and he thinks there might be something wrong with the windows installation. he does not have knowledge in these matters, but, he is just guessing. how likely is it ?

When they say the display turns off, does it turn back on eventually or do they need to restart?

Install drivers properly from the manufacturer's website.

Possibly as well the close lid function could be tripping.
