Does any body know where i can find a laptop graphics card? Preferably a GTX 970

I have acer aspire v5, not sure of model # but it has i7, 8 gb ram and a 710m GeForce

Nine times out of ten, you can't upgrade anything on your laptop except your RAM or your hard drive, either due to a locked-down BIOS or because the parts are soldered onto the motherboard. As far as I'm aware (and I could be wrong about this, feel free to correct me if I am), the only laptops that can have their processors or graphics chips swapped out are the ones sold by Clevo.

I'm almost positive that you won't be able to change out anything on your Acer Aspire. Sorry friend. If you wanted something that could be upgraded, you should have bought and built a desktop PC.

a 970 uses a lot more power than a 710, your motherboard or battery will fail.

I have built a desktop. just can't carry one through the airport and play a game on the plane.
Update: BTW I believe alienware adds an extra slot and connector.

Your 710m is almost certainly soldered directly to the motherboard and is not upgradeable. You need an Alienware, Clevo, MSI, or other (expensive) high end gaming system to have the option of upgrading.

^^ yes, and un-soldering is a terrible idea. It only works if you are an expert with it, and even then it often fails and can make stuff worse.
