[SOLVED] laptop hdd wont boot into windows

Okay so my dads hdd that he has in laptop suddenly wont boot into windows 7 , only black screen with text Starting Windows shows up but logo doesnt appear , i cant even access safe mode because it will get stuck on loading system files , i plugged that hdd into my desktop and i can access it and look at the files tho. Are there some softwares or something like that that can check or even repair the corrupted windows on that hdd ? Thanks in advance

Yes there are tools that can repair hdd's, mind telling what hdd he has?

SeaTools and defraggler for an example

If you are having boot issues,
Can you boot to Advanced boot options menu or access with win 7 disc the
System recovery options, then try a System restore from there?
You can also do a chkdsk in cmd ( i think its shift+ f10 with the win 7 disc inside)
