Hey everyone,
I have a problem with my Lenovo Legion Y520-15ikbn laptop. Lately, I've been noticing that when I press down on the right side of the palm rest, random keys are being pressed. I recorded a video of it, which you can check out here: link.

I cleaned my laptop recently and even had to replace the hinge, which required me to take out almost every part of it. I used compressed air and didn't use any liquid during the cleaning process. The laptop was working perfectly fine after I reassembled it, but this issue has been cropping up since then.

I've already checked every possible software cause, and I'm positive that this is a hardware issue. Although the keyboard is still functional, I think that something might be in contact with something else (possibly under the motherboard?) when I press down on the plastic cover. I already checked and reconnected the keyboard connector, which has reduced the problem's intensity slightly.

I also attach a picture of the laptop's inside, which might help you identify any potential problems (link).

I'm planning on selling this laptop, and I'm pretty worried about this issue. I already spent a good amount on replacement parts, so it'd be amazing if you could give me some guidance or suggestions on how to resolve this problem.
Thank you for taking the time to read this message. Let me know if you need more information from me.

Update: I managed to solve the problem! It turns out that I had misplaced the metal RAM cover when rebuilding my laptop, causing it to touch the keyboard pins and create unintentional inputs whenever I pressed on the palm rest. I feel a bit dumb for not checking that earlier, but I'm glad the issue is resolved.

I attached a picture to help everyone identify this problem if it ever occurs.
