Question Laptop Keyboard Malfunctioning!

About a week ago I learned my "-" key was having issues. It seemed like it was just not responding. I was worried I might have a failing key, but then it started to affect my "left Ctrl" key, then my "5" key, now my "6" key and "Numpad 6" key. They all just seem to turn off then back on, and all at the same time. Thing is, I know they are sending signals, because if I hold down 5, 6, and num6 then press another key like J, it types "fj1" so the mere fact they are being held is doing something.

Whenever I start the computer they work fine, however as I type they spontaniously stop responding. They will work again after a few seconds, but after a while they will shut off and not turn back on. However I started my computer in safe mode/command prompt and I never had any of them fail. I am starting to think this is some form of virus. My virtual keyboard, as well as my USB keyboard still works fine but with more keys seeming to die by the day I don't know if that will last.

I have tried restarting, I have tried a Restore point, I have tried uninstalling the drivers, I have tried a boot-time scan with Avast, I have tried TDSSKiller, I have tried turning off all non-microsoft boot time programs. Nothing is fixing it. The only option I have left is a restore to factory default built in by Lenovo, but after looking throughout google for similar problems it sounds like that didn't work either. And despite all my searching I have never heard of the problem being resolved, or at least no one went back to the threads and said it fixed the problem.

Someone, please help. I can't afford a new laptop if this fails and it is a year past my extended warrenty. I don't know what to do!

Update: Did a full system restore to factory default. Still has problem so next step is taking it to a mechanic

It's by no means uncommon for laptop keyboards to fail and start to do strange things - you haven't given the details of your laptop but they're generally inexpensive and very easy to replace.
It is a Lenovo Y50-70 Touch with Red Backlighting. If it is the keyboard going bad then that would be a relief, at least then I would know the problem and could have it fixed. Good to know they are inexpensive and easy to replace though. I was worried about that.
