Question Laptop screen has artifacts that disappear when window is refreshed

My Acer Helios with 1060 is starting to often display the display image with such artifacts. Most cases a window resize or refresh fixes it. It happens to browser windows or for example MS Visual Studio or other apps that are not refreshing the picture being rendered. I am thinking that the GPU or GPU memory could be at fault. Is there a fix for this?

Yes. When i connect my laptop to a second external screen via HDMI the problem still is present.

That points to a GPU issue, can you try booting in safe mode and see if it still persists?

Well i tried to replicate the issue in safe mode but to no avail. It then must be the dGPU fault. Would you say it is hardware or software related?

Hw problem is most likely 🙁 economically unsalvageable, unless you are cosy with a pc hardware/soldering whizz
