I recently had issues with my HP Envy Laptop not booting up properly, which someone had diagnosed as a corrupt version of Windows 10, since it wouldn.t except any of the repair methods to fix the problem. so I did a fresh install of Win 10 (downloaded latest version) and installed it successfully.
I then began reinstalling my programs and some files that were on there I use , and re-did the settings. A few days ago, I noticed that my settings window would not stay open when I clicked on something, it would just disappear ( which is something that it did previously before it wouldn't boot at all) then today, it is telling me that it can.t repair windows, reset or restore...again!
SO, was this a corrupt hard drive (SSD) all along, vs a corrupt windows 10? And, would putting in a new SSD fix this correctly? And, do the Windows.old files effect the operation of the new install? ( in that I should get rid of them)
Thank you.
