Well I have finally had it with EASY-CD Creator. This latest patch 5.01 for there new HORRIBLE 5.0 version blows.

After installing the 5.01 patch, I can no-longer copy CD to CD like I was able to in version 5.0.

I get buffer under-run errors EVERTIME. Unless my normal CD-ROM is dying, but I doubt it, I barely use the thing.

Anyone else having problems doing direct CD to CD copies with the new 5.01 version?

Im running Windows 2000 SP1, Plextor UltraPlexWIDE 40X CD-ROM, Plextor PlexWriter 12x4x32, PIII-850MHZ/512MB RAM.

I can still burn MP3's from the hard drive, to CD's but direct copy CD to CD doesnt work. The stupid program also locks my CD-WRITER at 8X WRITE when I do CD to CD even though its set for 12X!

AH!!

The newest is not always the best... hehe
But imo it is an os that gives you a pain now, some dlls got messed up during the setup. I am using 4.03 with 161040A, CloneCD, newest Nero, all things are working fine, no need for "new" staff here, why bother if it does all I need.
My $0.02 <in cash of course 😱>

Post, we'll do the "search"...

at least version 5 works for people with the HP CD writer 9100 series in win2k...

New things doesn't mean its automatically better. try using Easy-CD without the patch, if it works fine before, then you'll not probably need the patch anway. Some patch's "improvements" may be so small as insignificant to your setup. :)

Oroooo!!!

I have always had problems making direct copies using EZ CD creator (all versions).
Try decreasing the write speed.
You could also try having it copy to your had drive first.

But I would recomment using CloneCd to copy cds.

Boldly going foward because I can't find reverse.
