Left 4 dead 2 NEW update "The Passing" crash!! help GTX470

Hi guys,
I was playing fun left 4 dead 2 recently until today the update came out for "The Passing" , and now when I play it crash to window saying "Left4dead2 exe." has stopped working etc. etc.

I have window 7 x64 bit, 4gb ram, and gtx 470. Anyone know how to fix this problem, I can only assume at this point its the update that causing this because it didn't happen before until the updates. HELP PLEASE...

install your previous update

or

backup your save games
reinstall the game with original CD

pls report if you have original game only

I fixed the desktop crash by changing in-game shader to "medium". If I set it high or very high the game will crash. I think its because the new update software coding and or the new update not up-to-date with the newer graphic cards like gtx 470... If you are in same boat as me just change the shader to "medium" and game will not crash no more...

whats your graphic card

Just change the shader quality to medium. High and Very High will crash the game. Hopefully this will be patched soon.
