Intel i5 760 3,40 GHz
GTX 650ti
Kingston KVR1333D3N9 2x2GB DDR3 1333 MHz
Asus P7P55D-E LX
Good afternoon,
I'd like to upgrade my memories up to 8 GB, and I managed to found an online shop that sells them for a low price. There's a little problem however, I managed to find 2 types of memories:
1)http://www.valueram.com/datasheets/kvr1333d3n9_2g.pdf
These are the memories I have in my pc.
2) http://www.kingston.com/dataSheets/KVR1333D3S8N9_2G.pdf
These are the memories I found on the website.
Normaly I would've gone for those I already have, but the price is kinda high:
1) 35,50 € for 2GB
2)18,60 € for 2GB
I took a look at the specifications on the websites I provided upper, the only differences I noted were in the maxium operating power, and that 1) based on sixteen 128M x 8-bit DDR3-1333 and 2) based on eight 256M x 8-bit DDR3-1333 .
My question for you is whether is it ok for me to go for 2) (because it's cheaper) or if I shouldn't.
Thanks in advance.
I contacted Kingston, and this is the answer I was given:
"As per your query, please note that both the The only 2GB modules that we currently recommend for the Asus P7 Motherboard P7P55D-E LX are the following:
KVR1333D3S8N9/2G (2GB 1333MHz DDR3 Non-ECC CL9 DIMM Single Rank)
KVR1333D3S8N9H/2G (2GB 1333MHz DDR3 Non-ECC CL9 DIMM Single Rank, High profile: Height 30mm)
It is always best to install modules that have the exact same specifications in a given system. However, both modules are compatible with your system and should work fine with your existing memory.
We trust that the above information will be of assistance. However, should you need further information, please do not hesitate to contact us back."
