It's hard to determine if you have a bios lock on the HDD as Helpstars link suggests or the typical HDD locked which can usually be cleared like this:
Enter the BIOSand use the following settings:
- Set Bios to UEFI, not legacy or both (these other options may not be available)
- Enable legacy roms under advanced boot options if you can
- Disable Secure Boot
- Set SATA type to AHCI
Boot your Windows 10 media by pressing the F-key option that allows you to select the boot device. This option is shown at the same time the option to press a key to enter setup/bios is. No other drives should be installed but the drive you wish to install Windows to.
- Boot to the Windows 10 Recovery Environment.
- Click Troubleshoot.
- Then click Advanced options
- Click the Command Prompt.
- Type "diskpart"
- Type "list disk" pay attention to the # assigned to the hdd/sdd
- Type "Select disk #." # is the drive number that you determined in step 6
- Type "Clean"
- Type "Convert GPT"
- Type "Exit"
Boot to the Windows 10 media again and start the install process.
