Question Looking for a simple touchscreen device for mom in a nursing home

Hello,
I am looking for a device like a laptop that I give my elderly mom so we can use Zoom to communicate.
It would need a touch screen and hopefully be around $200 or under.
A used device would be fine too. I am not sure if a laptop, notebook or tablet would do the job?

wow that is great. So the device I am looking for is a "Chromebook"?
Is there a program that I can take remote control of the Chromebook if needed. I tried Remote but it seemed to convoluted for my mom to give permission

Thats one of the options.

And since those are used extensively in schools, likely meets your Zoom requirement.

Note that the OS is NOT "Windows", so regular Windows applications will not install and run. The ChromeOS has its own alternatives.

I see there are devices called Notebooks as well. Some appear to have Windows 10 and 11 installed. Is there a difference between a Chromebook and a Notebook?

Mainly, the operating system.

Windows vs ChromeOS.

A 'notebook' is pretty much just a smallish laptop.
