Hi guys,

So I'm planning on building a high-end gaming PC with a budget of around $5000 that I will be using for many years. I'm not very experienced with PC builds, so I would appreciate any advice or suggestions you may have.

I plan on using this PC mainly for gaming but will also use it for video editing, streaming, designing, etc

One thing that's important to me is the look of the PC, so any suggestions on cases, RGB lighting, and other components that would enhance the aesthetics would be greatly appreciated.

In addition to the PC, I have a separate budget of around $1000 for a monitor. I'm looking for a monitor that can fully utilize the PC's capabilities and provide an optimal gaming experience.

I also have a build in mind that I would like to share. Here:

I'm curious to know how well this build will perform and look, and if it's worth the money. Any feedback you have on this build or any suggestions on how to improve it are welcome.

Thank you in advance for your help!

Nice build, I'm kinda going almost full ROG for the final look of the PC tbh :p
Plus wouldn't u go for a 4K monitor with such a high end PC? Any recommendations?

Thanks

I prefer a 27" monitor seeing how my monitor sits on my desk just a few feet away from my face. 1440P is the ideal resolution for that size. That and longevity.

AM5 option if you want 16 performance cores instead of 8. Runs cooler and draws less power.

A white themed build, u might want to get white cables or the Lian li strimmer plus v2

I used to think like that. My i7 build in 2017 was on a similar 27’ display.

I went 4K with the 2021 build and moved to a 48” OLED.

I’ll never go back. Sitting 24 inches away from a gorgeous OLED display is perfection. 48 inches is the perfect size. 😂😂

Looks good to me, see little point in trying to change things other than money savings. Whether this is worth the money only you can decide.
Make sure you end up with a system that YOU like, not someone elses dreamsystem.

Monitors, for that that it seems that Oled is the future.

Nothing beats an OLED in picture quality. Not only do I use one for my PC display but I have 2 in the house for the home theater and bedroom.

I'm using a 2k monitor as well, the ROG PG278Q since 2016 and man it's still working like a beast.. but with a new PC I just feel like I need a monitor upgrade and will use the old one as a second screen :D

I've seen many white themed builds they look just sick.. but Idk I just prefer the black themed ones more you just can't go wrong with them. Nice build btw except for the monitor there's no way I'm playing on a 48 inch screen lol

Yeah I'm big on the white/black theme with no RGB... I just prefer the white light.

I gotta tell you though... if you sat in front of a 48" you might change your mind.

I'll never go back to smaller displays.
