Looking for advise on a new vid card

Well my CFO gave me some cash to upgrade from AGP to PCie thank god.

The new mother board is a gimmie to buy, however I am torn, do I buy the new 7900 series or the 7800 series card that has been in the market for some time now or the untested 7900. I am not looking for one of those crazy GTX series cards that cost more that a entire rig to buy.
