At work we're looking to have a bunch of small, low power systems for things like a DMZ mail router, a network monitoring system, etc. They need to be separate systems, not VM'ed (we already run these things inside our network on VMs) as we want them to be isolated and independent. We thought a small 4U blade server with 10-12 blades would be great, or miniITX. Has to be able to run Linux. If it's a miniITX system, it has to have built-in power - no "wall warts" (my boss hates them).
All the blade servers out there are many tens of thousands, use tons of power, have many features, and we certainly don't need that. A simple mini-blade with miniITX boards would be perfect, but I've been unable to find such a thing. Any suggestions?
