More info?)
First off, why do you say that you've lost the calculator? On the
Start menu, right click on the shortcut for Calculator and make
sure that it's pointing to %SystemRoot%\System32\calc.exe.
Run a search for calc.exe. That's the file that's launched when
you select Calculator from the Start Menu.
It should be in the C:\Windows\System32 folder.
If it's not there, look in the C:\Windows\System32\Dllcache
folder.
Copy calc.exe from the dllcache folder to the System32 folder.
If you don't find it in either location, then you can try the
following:
Find your Windows XP installation CD and put it in your CD drive.
Go to Start -> Run and type cmd.exe in the Open box.
Enter the following in the command prompt window.
Expand D:\I386\calc.ex_ C:\Windows\System32\calc.exe
The above assumes that Windows is installed on your C drive and
your CD drive is D.
Post back if you have any questions.
