I had to reformat my computer and when everything was reinstalled, I noticed
that my microsoft writing programs were gone ie the processor. I have an
emachine with windows xp home edition. I really need the writing programs,
how can I find them and rectify this problem.
Thanking you in advance

You must have done a "clean" install of XP which format your harddrive.
The only writing program that comes with XP is NotePad and WordPad.
Any other will have to be installed from a 3rd party disk, or possibly from
a disk that came with your PC when you purchased it.

Check the documentation that came with your computer or with eMachines
support to find out how to reinstall the application programs that
came bundled with your new computer.

They may be on a separate CD or in a hidden "system recovery"
partition on the hard drive.

Good luck

I am checking into the matter and will post a follow-up with
(hopefully) some available options for you.
