I have pretty unbalanced CPU and GPU usage in some games...
Sometimes the average is close to the 50's% for both cpu and gpu. In GTA V for example, i play with vsync turned on for the smoothness, but in some areas of the map, the game won't stay at 60 FPS even with low usage of CPU and GPU, and dont matter the graphics settings, it appears that the game don't push the components enough. That's what frustrates me the most, because i know my PC could push a little bit more for the higher FPS.
This issue always happened to my PC, and nothing that i try resolves the problem. Reinstalling windows helps a little bit, but the problem always come back...
Here is my setup:
i7 7700k with H55 WC
ASUS b150 gaming motherboard
16 GB RAM Hyper X Fury DDR3
GTX 960 2 GB VRAM Zotac
550 W GX 2 power supply
Windows installed on SSD
So... Could the issue be caused by the GPU being too weak for the CPU? Or maybe RAM speed, or even the motherboard.
I appreciate all the help.
