Question Low FPS 5GHz cpu with 1080ti

So I have an i7 8700k, asus maximus x hero, asus 1080ti, 16gb ram. The problem I am having is I was doing a stress test to see why my FPS in games are between 45-70 at 1440 and 1080. I’m not going into thermal throttling my temperature sits at around 60C in games. I know my FPS used to sit around 140-160 depending on games. It’s hard to diagnose what’s really going on because everything seems to be running fine and is getting power but why would my FPS be so low?

Also my PSU is a 1000w gold because I was planning on doing SLI

What cooler are you using? Are you up to date on your drivers? How are you monitoring your idle and ingame temps? When did these issues start occurring and with which games?

Corsair aio don’t remember the model specifically. H100 maybe. I have msi afterburner to monitor in game.

60C on what? There are multiple devices - cpu, gpu, motherboard VRM, to name a few...

Have you been keeping up with Windows updates, motherboard driver and bios updates, and gpu updates?
