assus b85m-e/csm motherboard

thanks

hey. i used to have 8gb 1600mhz ram and a gtx760 and i was getting around 55-75 fps on bf4 multiplayer.
i have now changed to 16gb of ram and get a constant 70-75 on battlefield 4. so would def change to the 1600mhz like MrAlaweey98 said.

Your specs look good to me. The R9 290 is certainly more powerful than the Nvidia 760 and should be easily able to run BF4 at Ultra 50+ FPS easily at 1080p.

The CPU is also not a bottleneck either. So, your specs are okay.

10GB RAM is good but can you specify a bit on what is your configuration like, how many sticks of RAM and of how many GBs. It is not very good to mix match different RAMs, but that too would not affect the performance much.

The fault lies probably somewhere else. Any other problems that you are having? If you do then please mention it here. Also are you using a legit version or a pirated version. The pirated versions have a lot of problems and are most of the times spywares and it is best to avoid pirated games.

Anyways, be sure to mention if there is any other problem along with it. Also one thing which is definitely possible is failing hard disk. Newer games have a lot of data which all can't be fit into the RAM, so they constantly pull the data from the hard disk and if your hard disk is slow or failing, then it could affect performance in very small cases.

Check your hard disk for failure by taking help from this article.

I actually did not realise that! well spotted!

hi,
thanks for answering.

for me, under 60 fps is considered low.
i am using the latest drivers and my hard drive is a new kingstton ssd.
i'll try to monitor the temps but i don't think that this is the issue...

i removed one 2gb ram stick that was different from the rest. it didn't change a thing.
