[SOLVED] Low FPS on Laptop Gaming with High Resolution Monitor

Hi Guys,

I have 8 yrs old Toshiba Laptop 1+1GB graphic card which have 1366x768 resolution.

When i plug it to 4K Samsung monitor, it allows me to choose any resolution in windows and in games.

Problem is; when i set to a higher resolution than 1366 games begin to have dramatically low fps. If i dont increase the resolution then all objects in the games appear like Minecraft games.

Anyone have idea what i can do to overcome?

The gaming performance is going to decrease due to the increased resolution, going from 1366x768 to 3840x2160 is quite drastic. There really isn't a fix unless you lower the graphic settings but even that will only go so far.

Even the current most highend grapics cards are working hard to deliver smooth gameplay at 4K resolution

I would say it is almost an impossible task to make gaming on an 8 year old laptop, paired with a 4K resolution monitor, anything near tolerable.
