Question M.2 Issue. Hard drive limit?

I have 2 M.2 slots on my MSI MPG Z490 GAMING EDGE WIFI (MS-7C79) and for whatever reason, whenever I use the bottom slot, a drive disappears and I've never understood why. I decided to get some new M.2s cuz I needed an upgrade desperately, The second I put one of the new ones into the second slot it got rid of my I drive (SSD) It's done this before which is why I don't use it.

That's very often normal behavior....especially on older motherboards.

The SATA slot is simply unavailable if you use the second M.2.

Solution is to use some other SATA port if you insist on using the second M.2.

Check your manual.

If you use the bottom m.2 slot sata 5+6 will not work.
As mentioned try a different sata port for the disk.
