Hey, I have a mid 2010 MBP a1286, that I recently put a new SSD in and install Ubuntu 20.04 on.

I know that MBP tend to get hot, but I felt like mine was just getting way to hot, so I checked it with the sensors command in terminal after installing the necessary files.

That's besides the point, after I checked that, I wanted to see how the processors were running in the computer because it is running a lot nicer with the new SSD (the previous HDD was extremely corrupted and was getting worse).

Now here is the issue, when I checked it yesterday it was idling at like 87%!!!! I freaked out and meant to copy the terminal screen so I could post it, but I had to leave my house to go somewhere.

So I am just wondering if this is normal? I am assuming my computer idling this high is not normal.

Terminal: (from today)
russ@russ-MacBookPro:~$ mpstat
Linux 5.4.0-33-generic (russ-MacBookPro) 06/03/2020 x86_64 (4 CPU)

01:11:45 PM CPU %usr %nice %sys %iowait %irq %soft %steal %guest %gnice %idle
01:11:45 PM all 21.39 1.07 7.72 0.31 0.00 0.63 0.00 0.00 0.00 68.88

It is a lot lower than the other day, it was almost at 90%.

Here is my temp readings also.
