Madden 2004

My screen whacks out (muliti-colored bursts, redraw problems) once in the game.
My system has over a gig of ram, ati 9700 pro video card, monitor samsung 191t.
I have tried several drivers for the video card. I have started over with 2 clean installs of Windows xp professional. The game plays fine for a few days but always goes back to video failure.
Any ideas before I give up? Thanks.

I've got the same game and a 9600 pro with cat 3.10, the latest catalyst drivers. Is that the one you have? Do other games work fine?

Anxiously awaiting prescott....is it here yet?
