Mail to link inoperable

Archived from groups: microsoft.public.windowsxp.configuration_manage (More info?)

When clicking on an e-mail address link in another e-mail,
or in fact on the reply(e-mail) link on the newsgroup
message page, Outlook Express will not open - I get the
error message "Could not perform this operation because
the default mail client is not properly installed".

Help, anyone!

Type these commands from Start/Run dialog:

MSIMN.EXE /REG
regsvr32 "%ProgramFiles%\Outlook Express\msoe.dll"
