[SOLVED] Main BIOS won’t boot after changes done to Key Management Platform

Hello!

My motherboard is Gigabyte Z390 Aorus Master.

I've updated the main BIOS from F11n to F11.
Everything was fine and was able to boot into Windows.

Later I've observed that Secure Boot was disabled and I could not enable it (as required by Win11).
It gave me the following message:
"Secure Boot can be enabled when Platform is in User Mode. Repeat operation after enrolling Platform Key (PK)".

So I took the following steps:
Key Management Platform Key (PK) Update / Yes / "Success".
After that I was able to set Secure Boot Enable as <Enabled>

After restart, the PC went dark! It would not boot either into Windows or BIOS menu.

I switched the BIOS button to the backup position and the PC booted normally. Now I run my PC on the backup BIOS.

QUESTION:
How can I recover the main BIOS from the backup BIOS?

*Resetting the CMOS didn’t restore the functionality of the main BIOS.

backup bios on gigabyte usually contains the bios that you flashed and didnt contain any changes, it's kinda different with old GB motherboard from lga 1155-1150 era, when it flashes the latest one, the backup bios is not writed, so we could update it manually WITH the changes we made to the main bios, sorta copy paste bios.

if you could go into bios after pressing the backup bios, try to flash the bios again, and go to bios after updated, then disable csm support, and any legacy options. after that enable intel PTT, and enroll platform key again, then save and exit.

Hello!

I can make all of the changes that you’ve mentioned, but in the B_BIOS.
The M_BIOS is not booting at all (fans turn on, then I get 5 beeps, then I get the error code on the motherboard: d6 followed by d9).

•I’ve reset the CMOS in 3 different ways = no luck.
•Trying to boot successively with my drives/ RAM/ GPU/ detatched = no luck.
• Re-installing Windows clean = no luck.

I’ve seen someone on YouTube solving the issue by resetting the M_BIOS chip by shorting pins 1+6, but that’s too scary for me 😄

so you cant go into bios and do qflash on the B_Bios? well maybe when it is abt to boot on B_Bios, try to spam alt+f10, thats how i copy pasted the M_Bios to B_Bios on my B75M HD3.

I’ve tried Alt+F10 while being in B_BIOS, then in M_BIOS too; but still no luck.
(I think that this option works in case of an incomplete BIOS update, but not in my case).
