[citation][nom]snotling[/nom]well, there ARE some stupid people out there and it is our duty to exploit them![/citation]Stupid or not, he still had 6 million to blow on bullshit.

[citation][nom]fayzaan[/nom]He should share his money with the poor! gimme a million right nao![/citation]

go out and make your own money and stop trying to take what doesnt belong to you! Are you some kind of communist or something?

[citation][nom]Razor512[/nom]But there is some truth in the statement. Most rich people, got rich by taking advantage of others.[/citation]
That's a generalization. And hell, even when it's true, good things can come of it. Take for instance Bill Gates, stomping all over other companies, anti-trust lawsuits all over the place. Now he's a philanthropist, I assume to compensate for all the shit he's done to others.

He is autistic after all (mildly so).

[citation][nom]towely[/nom]While it's easy to sit back and call this guy "stupid," that isn't the way the law sees it. He is a victim of fraud and is entitled to compensation. I know, there's no way we will ever be as old and stupid as he is. Not in a million years.[/citation]
No, the law thinks he's stupid too.

[citation][nom]shin0bi272[/nom]go out and make your own money and stop trying to take what doesnt belong to you! Are you some kind of communist or something?[/citation]
There's a lot of communists on the internet, get used to it man or you'll go mad.

[citation][nom]yao[/nom]No kidding.. it is more dramatic than a movie..[/citation]

I am out there making my own money! but its not enuf! wheres mah million dollahs?!

I wonder what the con artist was thinking while he was telling all the stuff to "Mr. Davidson". It must have been hard as hell for him to keep a straight face...

Come on...$6M?? If the guy had that kind of cash lying around (or able to pay over time) he's not that much of an idiot that he would be conned by some d0uche.

These stories really make it hard on me to believe..
And on a 2nd note it is really sad to see so much money wasted when there is SO MUCH poverty and hardship in this world.

And here I thought this is a article about Norton / McAffee lol.

What a idiot for falling for this stupidity he could have bought another pc from a reputable dealer or used a linux live cd / downloaded for free + $0.20 for a blank cd /dvd and cleaned his own pc.

This can only happen in the USA be it Red Cross Haiti $37k per human in haiti that is penny less or this scam.

This has to be fake. A virus linked to Polish priests and Opus Dei? And "personal protection" makes it sound like he was paying money so that Opus Dei didn't send evil albino monks to kill him. Plus, the guy who did the scam must've known he'd get caught eventually. Not like it was some anonymous person on the internet. This was a real person in a real computer shop who could easily be caught and traced. So basically the con guy was at least as equally stupid as the guy who got conned.

Thankfully, Bedi's uncle was a military officer in India and was put on the mission to retrieve the source of this virus on a hard drive located in Honduras. From there, Bedi learned that the virus was linked to Polish priests who were tied to the conservative Roman Catholic organization Opus Dei. This organization had plans to harm Mr. Davidson.

This sounds like a good plot for a movie (summer blockbuster).

I think there is more to it than what's reported. Perhaps they found something on the guys computer and were extorting him etc. Maybe some other kind of scam, money laundering etc.
