I'm going to bed. Have been having problems with FS9, memory full
problems again. Thought I had it fixed. Did a virus scan, two Ad Aware
and spy-bot checks, CHKDISK, deleted fs9.cfg and built on a fresh cfg
file and nothing is helping.

To top it off SB3 is refusing to load, saying fsuipc is wrong or
something. I downloaded the newest fsuipc, 3.411. I think I remember a
thread a few days ago talking about such a problem so tomorrow I'll
review old messages.

And the straw that broke it, received a message from a lady near Denver
who I used to build and maintain her web page until I could no longer
concentrate enough to keep up with it. She is completely over-whelmed
and like us, she takes in the "special needs" animals. Old, blind, dog
aggressive, and so on. Her message says she quits and will have to put
the dogs she has to sleep. I hope she hasn't already done it. Her web
page is still up and I see 4 dogs in addition to her 4 others that she's
kept, which would be quite a burden on a single person taking care of
them. We'll see how that comes out. Her pet list is:

http://www.rockymtnakitarescue.com/available.htm

But now, it's time to sleep.

boB,

Presumably you've done the other things such as defragging, clearing out
temporary files and general PC housekeeping. You could also try running the
FS9 installation across the top of your present installation. This will
replace any missing or corrupted files by over-writing them but it won't
touch your add-ons which will remain intact. Just a thought. :0))

Thanks Iain. Yes, I did all the housekeeping I could do and even opened
the case and cleared the dust out. There wasn't much but who knows.
Just a few minutes ago my Mozilla Thunderbird errored out. I believe
I'm going to save to CD and DVD all the important files on my C drive,
just in case.

I'll try your idea after. thanks,
