When I connect to my work network with VPN and map drives, I do not get the checkboxes to remember my password and not ask for it again. I was told windows xp should have these checkboxes but I do not see them.

I've never seen that in WinXP -

I'd use a batch file & provide the credentials & password once, and it
should cache & be reused.

net use x: \\server\share /user:computer\username
or
net use x: \\server\share /user😀OMAINNAME\username

Unfortunately it does that in XP Home...

One thing you can do (I'm not sure if this works in Home, though) is
go to Control Panel => User Accounts => <click on username>.

In the left task pane that comes up, select the Manage my Network
Passwords option... You can specify computer names, usernames, and
passwords for them to be cached..

If you connect to a domain, you can specify *.domainname.com and it
will cache the credentials for connections to any domain machines...

That part is, but in XP Pro, you can specify that you want to save a
username and password with a connection (that you can't do in XP home)
without going to the Control Panel.
