Master or Slave???

Earlier I hd only a CD-RW. everything was clear Secondary Master. Now I bought a Sony DVD. Which of them to set to master which to slave??? Thank you for your time

DVD Primary Slave
CDRW Secondary Master.
Other device Secondary slave.

Seems like an excellent config. You shouldn't have problems with either burning HDD to CDRW or CD to CD.

Sorry i forgot to mention that I have 2 Hard drives (60, 8 Gb) Primary master, Primary slave. I wanted to know which to make master on secondary chanel.

Neither.

Make the 8GB the slave on the secondary. For best performance from the CD-RW tasks, make it master on secondary.

I assume you 60GB is newer/faster than your 8GB drive, so it would be Primary Master.

Keep in mind that the master device has priority over the slave device, and that only one device from a particular IDE channel can be accessed at any one time.
