OK if i have the gigabyte ds3l which says it supports up to a 1333 fsb would there be any reason to get DDR2 800 over DDR2 667.

I've read its best to run memory at the same speed as your actual bus speed (fsb/4), which in the case of the ds3l would be a maximum of 333. This number matches with the 667 ddr2 (333 x 2). So no matter what cpu I have I shouldn't be able to go over a fsb of 1333 and therefore would never want anything higher than ddr2 667?

I believe most p35 boards have a variety of built in memory/fsb ratios. I would go for value, unless you want to try some extreme overclocking. Get some with lifetime warranty. I used mine twice at aib.com. They replaced it even though I lost my original invoice. They had it on their computer records.
