Yeah, forget about the kids birthday party at McD's.....It's a birthday LAN party! Gotta teach the kid gaming skills sometime. The clown can stop making poodles out of the balloons and teach my kid head shots

[citation][nom]Jerther[/nom]Nope! and that's pretty much dissapointing... Two years ago I could spend 8 houres straight there... reading a BOOK! Do you realize? A BOOK!!! oh and power plugs would be nice also. LAN PARTY with good food and cofee at hand!!![/citation]
You got that right! Oh, wait, you said good food. Sorry, my bad.

[citation][nom]sliem[/nom]I very rarely go to McD and eat in. For f's sake they even charge "seating fee." albeit very small (few cents).[/citation]

I don't know where you are from but the McDonalds in my area will let you sit in any puddle of ketchup/Mayo that you want.

I swear it doesn't mater what happens some of yall have to come over and shit all over it. It is nice to see a companies providing something like this. I had to tutor someone the other day and the library closed early for a holiday so we went to Mcdonalds and hoped they had wifi and they didn't. Now I know I can enjoy a drink and maybe even a few chicken nuggets while I teach math.

wonder if they are coming out with a wi-fi dongle in the happy meals? usb powered toys...? W.O.W. theme happy meals? it never stops.i love driving by the mc d's thats empty across the street from the in and out burger with cars lined up out the parking lot! mcD's=foodfail.

So true.

[citation][nom]Ehsan W[/nom]WIFI IS ONLY GOOD FOR PORNwe don't want people watching hi def porn in mcD's[/citation]
Don't worry, McDonald's has their "Play Place" for that.

every mcdonnalds I've seen is a deserted wasteland except from 11:30AM to 1:30PM when they are insane busy. And none of those customers have time to sit down, let alone screw around with a laptop.

They have had free wifi in Australian maccas for ages now, AND ITS MACCAS NOT MICKY DS

Holy Sh*t You've got to be kidding. Where's that McDonald??

[citation][nom]4ILY45[/nom]Finally,KFC & Pizza Hut has done that for years..[/citation]

Adding to your comment, Burger King also has offered Wi-Fi for quite a while.

Well more connectivity to the internet seems nice. As long as some evil hacker won't go with a battery and a pocket router and redirects Mcdonalds DNS to his router and creates a scripts that simulates facebook and Magic !! the hacker successfully stole a couple of bank/facebook/twitter/myspace accounts.

Other than that, it is cool.

Never sat foot once in a Micky D's since I was like 14 (I'm 21) so I didn't know they didn't have free WiFi. All around here, I see Krystals, BK's, and DENNY'S with free WiFi amongst a slew of others so I had just assumed McDonald's did too. Heck I've even seen a Checkers with free WiFi. A CHECKERS. I didn't know they were still around till a few months ago (only one I had ever seen prior, closed YEARS ago). I'm honestly mildly surprised they didn't already have it for free. I mean even in my little backwoods hometown, the BK and Krystal have free WiFi. The frickin FOOD COURT at the mall here has free WiFi (which is a huge kick in Books-A-Million's face since you can pick it up within their store. BTW, Books-A-Million's WiFi ain't free).

[sarcasm]Way to go McDonald's. With the fact that y'all are struggling SOOO much and lagging WAY behind Checkers, it's nice to see you catch up [/sarcasm].

Walking around my city scouting with for someone's unprotected Wifi with my PSP, I didn't find any. None at all. By the dozen, but all secured...
Have a network at work, but it's for a neighboring company, and it's protected...

We need more open free Wifi please.

So true, Glorian. Basically, people just want to complain. Here, McD is offering something for FREE, and everyone craps all over it. I guess the other option is for McD to RAISE the fee...maybe that would make everyone happy. It's no wonder the state of the economy and country is the way it is...everyone just wants to complain and be miserable. Now, excuse me while I go get my 3 dollar lunch (McDouble, sm fries, and 42 oz drink).

I meant that for Tim Horton's 😉

Oh, then by all means you're right! Although, in the Tim's in my area, the staff there doesn't give the impression they want you to stay! It's more "drink your coffee and GTFO, I have other customers to serve".
