Because once they're an adult, they're no longer as interesting. There are lots of genius adults in various fields who are unrecognized for their work. Their intellect could also be a fluke of early development and reach an adult level, but then taper off and stay at an adult level from then on. A child genius doesn't necessarily become an adult genius.

totally agree on this one! but i'll just keep it to myself so that way I feel much smarter people/kids like this, i can only hope is one day like a child that I may have.

but this still strives me to learn as much as I can about my field of interest, so although I may not be the smartest as a young'en, I can be one of the best when I'm older! (hopefully)
