I did a memtest86 with xmp on .

all 4 slots occupied new pc build and got 10k+ errors.

currently testning sticks indvually on slot 2 , tested 2 sticks currently both of them passed , doing 4 runs on every test .

should i buy the PRO edition for more runs? if no ram gets an error i Will try every stick om every slot and then start to pair them.

and Also in very new to pc building and all the software and stuff like that.

but all the bios and drivers are up to date.

specs:

Cpu- i9 10900k

mobo: z490 xii hero maximus Wi-Fi

ram: g skill trident z royal 3600 mhz cl16 4x8 GB

gpu: 3080 asus rog strix oc

aio: nzxt z73

chassi lian li o11 dynamic

no manual oc , only thing that is enabled is xmp.

would really appreciate the help ! Put alot of money and time in this.

Also should i change any settings on memtest?

Solution
Is your motherboard bios current?
November 2020 0804 included updates that addressed ram compatibility.

Does the ram pass memtest at stock speeds?
If so, try specifying 3600 speed and associated voltage and cas settings explicitly.
Possibly, the motherboard is not reading the XMP data correctly.
You can try increasing the ram voltage a small bit; that often fixes things.

But, such a fix should not be necessary.
Contact g.skil support for a likely RMA.

Were these four memory sticks from a single kit or is this two 2-stick kits?
Have you tried with default memory (not XMP)?

Its a 4 stick kit.

No only tried with xmp for now , but shouldnt it work at 3600 mhz either way thats the advertising. And my ram is on the qvl in gskill for the mobo

I havent hem yet currently testning each stick on slot 2 with xmp on too see of any one of them is the problem .

i Will after that test all of them first at stock speed even tho i should do that first , im pretty new to this , thats why i maybe sometimes Ask stupid questions .

should i download that specific driver ? Otherwise i have the latest, how can the bios read the xmp wrong ?

g.skil support may have info on your problem.
Try them.

If a rma is necessary, then the only supported replacement will be a full kit.
Some ram vendors will arrange a exchange where you give them a credit card to pay for the ram in case you do not return the claimed defective kit.

Ive read somewhere that maybe sometimes the CPU cant support the ram because voltage is to low or should my set up make it anyway without me tweaking it ?

All ram has a default setting that should let you get into the bios where you can adjust ram settings.
If you have been messing with settings, perhaps you should reset the bios and start over.
If needed, you can clear cmos with a jumper on the otherboard or, powering down and temporarily removing the cmos battery.
