Memory compatibility

I have an ASUS M4A78T-E AM3

Will this ram be compatible?

G.SKILL Ripjaws Series 8GB (2 x 4GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1333 (PC3 10666)

I checked different compatiblity charts but didn't see pc3 10666. pc3 10600 is compatible, is that the same thing?

if it's not on the list it doesn't mean it won't work it's just not on the Qualified Vendor List for the Mobo... Doesn't mean it won't work like I said but I can't recommend use of anything not on QVL...

The list only goes up to 6gb of memory, and i'm looking for 8gb

like I said it will probably work, as the mother board supports those speeds and capacities, but this is the official list of what was tested by asus on the board.

I've never seen RAM being sold as 10660... That is just a completely mistaken way to write it. At least there is reason behind doing it 10600 or 10666 or even 10667 even though I think 10600 is technically the correct way to write it out.

it's frustrating though cause you're shopping and you're like I want to see all the 1333 DDR3.... wait there are 3 different filters and they're all the same spec but each one has different parts... CURSE YOU!!!!!
