Memory motherboard compatibility

How do I know which RAM cards will work with which motherboards?

Ive got an intel motherboard labelled D815EEA2 / D815EPEA2 with 128M of "ValueRAM." I'd like to add two other RAM cards one made by Centon and one made by Elixir. Will that work. No harm in trying I guess.

brands normally do not make any difference. But there is definitely no guarantee that mixing the RAM will work at all. No harm in trying, but it might not work. It's always best to get a kit of the same brand / model number RAM.
