Memory real or fake corsair?

Hi, I recently purchased some memory off craigslist, corsair part number TWIN2X4096-8500C5, which is on the heat spreader... When I look at CPU Z however, it tells me a whole different story... Instead of it being a ddr2-8500, it says its a ddr2-6400... Did maybe someone change the heat spreader on it to make a few extra bucks and label it as 1066? Or am I seeing it all wrong?

Bios also says its 800mhz, instead of 1066... The heatspreader says 1066... ?

Here it is on tigerdirect http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/searchtools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=4820471&SRCCODE=GOOGLEBASE&cm_mmc_o=VRqCjC7BBTkwCjCECjCE

And heres a picture of what CPUZ gave me.

Help would be appreciated, thanks.

My guess would be all is ok. There is no official DDR2-1066 memory spec. So anything reading the SPD settings on the RAM sticks wouldn't report speeds that high. As for your screen shot, thats just how the ram is being ran. If you change the ram settings in the bios, that screen will change to show the new settings.

I would say everything looks fine.
