I just started to overclock my ram and I reset the timings back to stock after oc'ing my cpu. However when I started to run memtest it started showing a bunch of errors. So I tried increasing both the dram voltage and nb and lowering my timings back to where they were 5-5-5-15 but that still gave errors. However my ram is supposed to run at 4-4-4-12. Ram is 4gb Corsair XMS2 c4 and mobo is asus maximus formula. FSB@400 mhz. Any suggestions?

Ram is 4 x 1gb at 4-4-4-12 at 2.1 v (all stock) and cpu is Q6600 G0 @3.6 ghz. I also put all memory settings to auto to make sure they were at stock but the errors till come. This is using memtest 3.4 should I try using memtest 3.3?

Sounds like you permanently damaged your ram by overclocking it too hard or overvolting it too much when you overclocked it the first time.

Why use a lesser version?

Are you having problems in OS and wot not? if you are id be inclined to follow what NIZ just said

Taking this from experience...........does it run really quickly and test 10 is 168 errors? If so its the version of memtest, use 3.3

3.4 is broken, gave the exact same results on 3 different computers for me

USE v3.3

Not sure of differences between memtest V 3.3 & 3.4 Vs memtest 86 and memtest 86+.

Newest version of Memtest is Ver 3.6
Newest version of Memtest86+ is V1.7

I would make a bootable CD with the latest Version of memtest 86
and try it.

I could be all wet (if I am please forward a towel and except my appolgies)

No.....do not use v3.4, use 3.3

Its busted and does not work.......dead serious
3 totally different computers (one with new RAM because I thought it was broken) gave the EXACT results, same errors and same problem
