Hello there,
I'm sorry to ask immediately after registration but I'm getting insane with a MSI H310 F PRO mining board.
The rig runs 4 x GTX 1080 Ti and 6 x RTX 2080 Ti using PCIe risers with USB cables as lane. Powered by 5 PSU's.
It is used for Hashcat at the moment. I discovered that the card that displays the picture (one of the 2080's) to the screen is getting hot and causes the OS to freeze.
For that reason, I tried switching to internal GPU (IGP) in UEFI. Huge mistake!
I didn't got a display out anymore when all the video cards were attached (the board just switched of an on), so I turned of the GPU power supplies and switched back to PEG.
But I still no longer receive a video out when all cards are connected and powered on. I tried severeal cabling now and it seems as if the main GPU order is kinda random.
It's not like PCIe 1 is PEG0, it's more like it's only PEG0 when one of the other cards isn't connected.
Is there a magic method to make sure that PEG0 is the card that I decide?
Or - also fine - that I can tell with of the cards is PEG0? I tested with one after the other but without success.
I am sorry but any help is appreciated.
Thank you,
Nico
