Micro Code update

Hello, I currently own a Hp Compaq Dc7700 Sff with a Core 2 duo E6400 and I have currently bought a Core 2 duo E7500, but everytime i start my pc with the E7500 i get a message that says i need a micro code that supports my processor, i downloaded it and read everything I needed to do to install it but none of it really makes sense to me, I want to know if there is a easier way to install that update, or if someone can simplify what I need to do in order to install it.

1- How do you know than that CPU is supported by the mobo?
2- In case that mobo support that CPU, you need the latest BIOS available for the mobo of the rig, something pretty difficult to find for an pre-build rig
3- Why don't ask to HP support?
