[SOLVED] Microphone Not working on headset

Hey, i have recently run into a massive problem for me, i was recently using my V2 Pro headset when the microphone stopped working and i thought its time has come but my new headset mic doesn't even work aswell

So i tested both of the headsets and they work fine.
so it is something with the PC and yes i have updated the drivers, i have uninstalled and reinstalled, i have set to default, i have upped the sound i have done everything, i have plugged into the mic jack at the back and front of the PC and it is unmuted
when i listen to the device all i hear is a fuzzy sound
i am currently using Realtek Audio for my drivers if that can help and the new headset is Mionix Nash 20

how many 2.5mm AUX ports are on the front? most of the time there will be a Headset/speaker OUT and a microphone IN, if youve ran tests on the headsets and it's a problem with the PC, you may want to see about using the rear motherboard ports. to do that you will probably need an appropriate splitter to bring RED and GREEN to a single female headphone jack.
Please specify what motherboard you have so i can read up on it's specs, support, and manual, to further assist you

Another step to take is to make sure the Front panel audio header is properly plugged into F_AUDIO or HD_AUDIO on your motherboard. it would explain why you only get a fuzzy sound and no audio.

I dont know of any other manufacturer with a motherboard named "Carbon"

but before trying that, make sure the audio header on your motherboard is properly plugged in. it is located at the bottom left corner of your motherboard and is a 2x5 pin rectangular plugin, its labeled on the board as JAUD1. this only affects the front panel AUX ports

Another question, where did you obtain your Realtek Audio drivers? if you used the ones that came on the Disc that came with the motherboard, i would suggest updating them from that same MSI website: https://www.msi.com/Motherboard/support/X370-GAMING-PRO-CARBON#down-driver

actually while you're there you might as well update every driver they have on there except the RAID Driver, seeing as you probably
aren't utilizing it with your current setup

My other PC has an X470 Gaming Pro carbon in it, and the X370's layout Isn't much different, just the chipset. so this is pretty familiar ground
