I like to manually guess the url's to websites and if I cant find it then im just out of luck. I just don't think "finding engines" or that great!

I do, even if I still use Google, I like seeing the progress of Bing which improves all the time in results. As a search engine's interface and usefulness is by far better than Google if you really check it out. Video and image results its amazing how it works.. I was surprised. A LOT actually. I still have to open Google often after I search with Bing if not sutisfied but its getting less and less the times I would need to Google afterwards. I hope Bing ends up getting as many results cause i love the interface and all or that Google takes Bing as example to their features and bring them to their users cause its sweet. And Google is a huge habbit which isnt easy to give up but it starts feeling like when I see Dos after all those years..

I miss using Lycos as my main search engine... back in the day it was the best. Google then was the best or still is? Bing going down right now is a non issue for more people but I have been hearing good things about Bing these days. At least they fixed it pretty fast? I know when Google last went down it took a few hours to get over the fact that all the searches for Micheal Jackson where not a denial of service attack lol

Bing has no chance. They will never out-google google. Their only hope is to buy temporary market share (with inflated Bing cashback) or to do something different and unusual to satisfy a niche crowd.

Have heard that kind of talk before....
About hardware companies like IBM, Toshiba and HP
About software companies like Lotus, Oracle, Netscape and Netware
About technologies, programming languages.. name any category in IT.

There may never be a company to unseat Google, but it is not an impossibility for them to fail in spectacular fashion. From the responses it would seem that a number of folks are using a combination of the two which would lead one to believe that there are strengths and weaknesses on both sides. While welcome to your opinion, a blanket statment like yours does not a good argument make.

Yeah I do for somethings, mostly video and sometimes searches for webpages after google gives me nothing. Most of the time its google all the way. Mostly due to habit, and sometimes (rarely) b/c I can't find it on bing. With the exception of searching for photos Bing is much better IMO.

I would've noticed if i actually used Bing...but its Google all the way for me!

And looking that this, looks like I made a good decision not turning to Bing (despite all the hype)

Bing can never compare to Google; we should always be willing for new competition, but just not in this case.

Google is a freakin symbol now, their symbolism is reflected through the addition of the word 'google' into the dictionary ...!!!!
