Btw, new update asked to enable the push notifications, which i, at 1st, dismissed. Then it asked again, strongly recommending to enable it. Since it didn't explain to me as of why i should enable it, i selected "never ask again".
So, for devs; it's bad sportmanship to demand something, without giving a reason why. :mmmfff:
i enabled it but well, I have recieved over 20 today so I have since disabled it. If you have win 11 it puts them in the notifications area of desktop. I don't need to know them that much.

Just turn it off - It shows on the front page of settings - just scroll down - so you can easily disable it there.

I don't see why anyone would want pop-ups. Those are annoying and borderline spam.

To add, this wasn't an option we enabled by design and we'll look at turning off the second popup. I agree that once you've said no, it should just accept that. It does go away permanently the second time.

We're taking a look at issues people are flagging, please bear with us as with any changes there may be larger problems created so we're being cautious to make sure that everything stays upright.

i like how the up/down arrows that stopped working on old version of software work again now. If you don't know what I mean, scroll up/down on a page and they should show on far right, letting you get to top or bottom without scrolling - on really long pages this is really nice

I like how, on mobile, if you on a really long thread, you can type in the page you want to go to instead of having to scroll through all the pages... it makes using phone almost tolerable. It wasn't funny on old software.

Those just 2 things I seen so far :)

How to check whether both Up/down votes are working ? Not that I use this feature often here on THW, but I also can't deliberately use up/down vote feature on just anyone from a random thread, just to check it.

They will get notified, and I don't want that to happen.

feel free to try it out on any of my posts.

won't bother me in the slightest :)

Oh, thanks man ! But it's okay I will try it some other time. Not that I was desperate to try it in the first place.

But since they are still fixing some of the issues so it's better I would rather wait some more time. COLIF has confirmed the votes are working though, but for some forum members it's not working imo. :)

i just tried an upvote and it highlighted the up arrow and acknowledged i clicked it, but the number did not go up. arrow is still highlighted after reloading and number still not gone up. i can click arrow again and it removes my upvote (so can test easy enough if can remove it after) but reclicking yields same result.

Seeing the same thing and also ran into an issue where clicking solution wouldn't then let me unclick it. So that's why it's showing as solved in case you're wondering.

i downvotred and it made the number 2. Used to be able to click number to see votes.

Now it looks like he has 2 votes but I upvoted to cancel my downvote.

trying to unmark creates a server error.

If you scroll down to the bottom right hand side of most any page, and click the two arrows that are pointing towards each other, that gap (And the whole "narrow" configuration") goes away. I don't know why they don't have the "default" configuration being the full width like it should be since most users prefer it that way so that thread pages aren't four miles long.

That widens everything out, but doesn't actually do anything about the other two problems.

Still a large gap at the top, and trending threads just kind of floats in the middle depending on the length of the page. Wouldn't even notice it if you were at the bottom of a decently long thread.

Just got some clarity on that, a fix is being looked into so it will be a bit screwy until that's applied.

This looks likely to be caused by removing Quickthread for stability.

Agree it looks dumb right now, but hopefully it's something we can fix relatively quickly, but it may not get resolved right away as there are some more pressing issues on the docket.

This is working for me now and the error on unmarking should be fixed.

Going to keep an eye out for any more issues, but it looks good after a few tests.

Tagging @Math Geek just in case you want to give it a try yourself. Thanks to everyone who pointed this out.

that appears to fix it. my upvote changes the number and if i remove my vote, it changes back. :)

the arrow stays highlighted which is actually pretty nice so i can see that i voted already.
