Minecraft low Fps

I can games like skyrim modded on ultra but when it comes to minecraft i have terrible fps. Today I bought corsair cx750m power supply and a xfx radeon r7 260x 2gb double d edition graphics card, everything seems to be working great except for the game I wanted to play. Not sure what the problem is but if anyone can help please do

OK, but seriously, can you elaborate on your problem. I need more info to get a vague idea of what is going on. Do you have horrible fps 24/7? Or is it just huge lag spikes? etc.

When playing minecraft i only get 20-30 fps.. this is no matter what settings im on. I want to know why its so bad on minecraft but not on games that have better graphics

Did you enable AMD Dual Graphics. If you did, try disabling it. I don't know how to do it though lul.

Minecraft has 4 gb dedicated and yes, I reinstalled it about an hour ago.

try setting it to 2gb or even 1gb, read somewhere that java does not handle a lot of ram efficiently and it can cause lag

I honestly don't know what to tell you, try updating your drivers. If you have the newest ones already then....idk.

Well restart your PC. Most of the problems I have ever had with my pc were derived from Windows 8 being a piece of crap, or me being to lazy to restart my PC more than once a week.

Have you considered installing Optifine Ultra? If not, it might double your fps.
