[SOLVED] Minecraft Server on primary PC?

I'm thinking of moving my MC server from my Raspberry Pi to the primary PC that I am going to build. Is it safe to run a spigot MC server on my primary PC while I am using it? Are there any parts of the Spigot software that can be exploited to gain access to my PC? What are the best practices for doing something like this? If it makes a difference, I only allow whitelisted players to connect. Thanks!

As far as "only allow whitelisted players "....you are only as secure as their systems are.
