Sure you aren't thinking of vegetable oil as being 'old'? Because I have only seen this once before about 7 days ago.

Its not all the same thing, the big difference is that mineral oil never has to be changed. Vegetable oil eventually becomes moldy. Also, mineral oil has a higher heat index.
